Luke Benjamin Smith became the pastor of Linden Heights Baptist Church in 2010. He is a native of Washington, D.C. Luke studied at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, The American Baptist Seminary of the West (located in Berkeley, California) and Duke Divinity School in Durham, NC. Natalie graduated from Mary Baldwin University in 2013 with a degree in psychology with a main focus in education and childhood development classes. Natalie has experience with children in various settings, including operating her own daycare center, working in a church nursery, volunteering with autistic children in the public school system, and volunteering in Awana programs. We serve together as Youth Pastors here at Linden Heights Baptist Church. We are blessed to serve the Lord and youth here. Our goal is to teach them the importance of Christian fellowship and to help all grow in understanding their faith in God. We hope to have everyone who wishes to gain knowledge of Jesus Christ come out and learn with us. Andrew is a veteran of the Army. He served one combat tour in Afghanistan. He is currently attending Colorado Christian University, where he is studying Christian Ministry. Andrew enjoys the outdoors and hunting. Kristen grew up attending Linden Heights and looks forward to sharing her dad's lessons about the importance of God with their two sons and our Linden Heights youth. Teresa graduated from Bridgewater College with a degree in music and taught in the Page County and Augusta County School Systems. She was choir director at Christ United Methodist Church in Staunton and St. James United Methodist Church in Churchville. "My job as choir director at LHBC is such a blessing to me. God has been so kind to allow me to serve Him while also serving such a wonderful group of people and leading our sweet church family in praising the Lord every week! Melissa Graham directs the Praise Team and leads the congregational singing in contemporary praise songs during the 9:00 a.m. worship service. Eva Mason has been a secretary most of her life and has served at Linden Heights many years. She is also a Sunday School teacher for the ladies class. Dawn Davis is a Nursery caregiver and is also employed by Staunton City School. She helps out with some of the not-so-wee ones, as well as some of the special children's events such as the Christmas Pageant and the Easter Egg Hunt! She and her husband have five grown children and a grandchild. Dawn loves being part of the Linden family. Libbey Buckley, Nursery Caregiver
Libbey Buckley is a Nursery caregiver and is also employed by Staunton City Schools. She studied Master's of Social Work at Virginia Commonweath University and has a BA in Sociology from Roanoke College. She has been a Staunton resident since 1981 and has one daughter that attends James Madison University. Libbey enjoys children and is a special part of the Linden family. |
